HOW ARE WE COMPLYING WITH PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES?

At a Maui Wedding Day, we are thrilled to help you turn your wedding dreams into a reality on our beautiful island. As a premier Maui wedding planner, we offer each of our treasured clients personalized nuptial ceremonies and receptions through our extensive network of industry-leading vendors and venues.

At this time, we know the stresses and concerns that you may be experiencing while trying to plan a Covid wedding, but rest assured we can still create an incredibly beautiful and memorable day while following all of the recommended Maui wedding public health guidelines. Let’s take a moment to look at the various ways that we can make your Covid wedding perfect and safe for you and your guests.

LOGISTICS AND SET-UP

Your Maui wedding planner will ensure that your ceremony and venue seating is arranged in a beautiful, yet appropriately socially distanced manner. Up to 100 guests outdoors, including wedding party members and vendors, are currently permitted to attend such events in order to maintain guest safety.

We will work with you to place families of the same household within seating rows and at dining tables. Also, tables will be spaced a minimum of six feet apart. At this time, all meals will be plated and served, which we feel adds an element of elegance, regardless of the times. All silverware and condiments will be pre-set and individually packaged. To prevent possible contamination, your seating area will be roped off or monitored until it is time for guests to be seated.

All AV equipment and microphones will be at least 10 feet from your guests and sanitized between speakers or singers. Dancing is permitted while masked, and you can rest assured that our event staff will place elegant signage throughout your venue to remind those who are celebrating with you to sanitize frequently and keep their masks over their nose and mouth when not eating or drinking.

We will also work with you to create venue specific traffic patterns to keep guests moving in a “one way” pattern to minimize unnecessary contact while still facilitating easy and convenient movement around your ceremony and reception site.

STAFFING

Your Maui Wedding Day planner will be ensuring that all of the event staff serving you during your big day are Covid free. Those who will serve in the various capacities during your wedding, such as servers, bartenders, custodial crew, and entertainers will be regularly tested for Covid-19 before they work your event.

We also expect all of our partners to stay home if they’re exhibiting any symptoms. Temperature checks will be performed before anyone starts working on your event. Your staff will remain masked at all times and wear gloves. They will frequently hand wash and sanitize and change their gloves after dealing with high touch surfaces.

DISINFECTION AND SANITATION

Pre-event sanitization will occur with CDC approved chemicals and cleaning practices. During your event, your staff will complete frequent sanitization of high touch surfaces such as doorknobs and restroom facilities. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout your venue to encourage your attendees to regularly disinfect their hands. All food preparation and entertainment vendor areas will also be treated to maintain cleanliness standards.

PARTNER VENDOR PRACTICES

Having a Covid wedding requires you to place your trust in all of the vendors that we partner with, from florists and caterers to our partner salons and spas. We can assure you that each business we work with is as strict in following Covid-19 protection protocols as we are.

Our salons require appointments and masking. Social distancing is maintained at all times when specified. Sanitization protocols are followed and enforced. That way, you can be confident that every single detail of your wedding is Covid-safe.

GUEST GUIDELINES

Not only are we here to ensure your safety as bride and groom, but for your friends and family, as well. It is important to inform your guests that Maui requires a negative Covid test within 72 hours of arrival or a 10-day quarantine in order for them to be out and about.

Guests may choose to remove their masks while seated during the ceremony in their pre-assigned seats. The wedding party may process and recess the ceremony unmasked.

At your ceremony and reception, each guest must be screened for temperature and a manifest with guest specific contact information for each wedding goer must be collected for potential contact tracing purposes.

Also, your guests must remain socially distanced and masked at all times except when drinking or eating.

We know that having a wedding during this time can seem daunting and stressful, but our wedding planners are keeping on top of all of the latest Covid requirements to keep you and your guests protected while giving you the stunning wedding day you deserve.
